Branding, image and video slider, and text description

By adding a logo, images, videos, and a text description, you can turn a payment link into a mini website or landing page.

Logo

The company logo is added in <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> → <span class="u-richtext-element">Company</span>

Media slider

On the payment page, you can add a slider of up to four images or videos.

In the payment link settings, activate the <span class="u-richtext-element">Media</span> block and upload images from your device or add a YouTube link.

<span id="text">Text block</span>

The <span class="u-richtext-element">Text</span> block allows you to add a description and translate it into other languages.

Enter the text in any language and click the auto-translate button. The translation will be generated for all supported languages.

When a customer opens the payment page, the language is determined automatically based on the browser settings, so the customer sees the page in their own language.

If a translation is not added for a specific language, the text from the English tab will be used. Therefore, we do not recommend leaving the English tab empty.

If you make changes to the text, you can clear the translations and generate them again.

Subscriptions (recurring billing)

Subscriptions are recurring charges from the customer’s card without the need to re-enter card details. In Hebrew, this is called "Oraat Keva", which literally means "standing instruction".

Activate the subscriptions module in the <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> → <span class="u-richtext-element">Modules</span> section.

Creating a subscription

<span class="u-richtext-counter">1</span> When creating a payment link, clock "More" button to expand settings section and change payment type to “Subscription”.

<span class="u-richtext-counter">2</span> Specify when the subscription should start and end, then click the “Create Link” button.

<span class="u-richtext-counter">3</span> Once the customer subscribes using this link, the subscription will appear on the main screen under the “Subs” (Subscriptions) menu.

Subscription start options

Immediately — the first charge will occur at the moment the subscription is created, and then recur on the same day each month.

In N days — the first charge will occur after the specified number of days from the subscription start date, and then continue monthly on that same day.“Date” — the first charge will occur on the selected date. If the selected date is in the past, the subscription cannot be created.

Day of month — the first charge will occur on the specified day of the month and repeat monthly on that same day. If the selected day matches the subscription start date, the charge will happen immediately. If the 30th or 31st is selected but the month doesn’t have that date, the charge will occur on the last day of the month (e.g., February 28th).

Date — the first charge will occur on the selected date. If the selected date is in the past, the subscription cannot be created.

Subscription end options

No end date — charges will continue until the subscription is manually canceled in the dashboard.

Date — charges will continue until the selected date. For example, if the end date is set to August 15, 2030, and charges occur on the 16th of each month, the last charge will take place on July 15, 2030, and there will be no charge in August.

After N charges — the subscription will end after the specified number of charges. For example, to create a one-year subscription, set it to 12.

Subscription statuses

<span class="u-richtext-element" style="background-color: rgba(68, 203, 138, 0.5)">Active</span> — charges are being processed successfully.

<span class="u-richtext-element" style="background-color: rgba(113, 124, 144, 0.2)">Completed</span> — all scheduled charges have been successfully processed.

<span class="u-richtext-element" style="background-color: rgba(242, 201, 76, 0.8)">Cancelled</span> — you manually cancelled the subscription charges.

<span class="u-richtext-element" style="background-color: rgba(221, 94, 94, 0.4)">Failed</span> — a charge attempt failed; the system will make up to 6 more retry attempts.

Tracking subscriptions

Charges from subscriptions appear in two sections:

  1. On the main payments screen, alongside other payments;
  2. In the “Subs” section, where you can view the full charge schedule for each subscription.

Notifications about subscription charges are sent by email and Telegram — just like regular payments — if the notification option is enabled in <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> ➙ <span class="u-richtext-element">Notifications</span>.

Cancelling a subscription

In the settings of the desired subscription, select “Cancel subscription”. The customer will receive an email notification that their subscription has been cancelled.

It is not possible to resume charges on a cancelled subscription. The customer will need to re-subscribe.

Failed charge

A scheduled subscription charge may fail if the card has insufficient funds, the credit limit is exceeded, the card has expired, or it has been cancelled.

If a charge fails, the system will automatically make up to 6 more attempts — one per day. If all attempts fail, the subscription will remain in “Failed” status, and the charge history will include a note: “Subscription stopped”.

In the subscription management menu, a “Retry charge” option will appear, allowing you to manually initiate a new charge. Before retrying, we recommend checking with the customer to make sure their card is working properly.

Subscriptions vs installments

Since installment payments work only with Israeli credit cards, some businesses use subscriptions to collect payments from international customers in multiple parts.

It’s important to understand the difference: With installments you are guaranteed to receive the full amount — even if the customer’s card has insufficient balance on future dates. With subscriptions, each charge is a separate transaction, and if the card has no funds at the time of billing, the charge will fail.

How to accept online payments with Allpay

Allpay offers two ways to accept online payments: through payment links and through direct integration with your website.

You can use either option — or both at the same time.

Payment links

Payment links are the simplest and most common way to start accepting payments.

In your Allpay dashboard, you create a payment link by entering the name of the product or service and its price, then clicking one button. The system instantly generates a ready-to-use payment page.

You can send this link to your customer via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or any messenger. The customer opens the link and completes the payment by:

  • entering their card details
  • choosing Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • or paying with Bit

The same link can be used by an unlimited number of customers. You can also create as many new links as you need or edit existing ones.

All payments appear in real time in your Allpay dashboard.

This option is especially convenient if you don’t have a website and work through social media, messengers, or manual invoicing.

Website or online store integration

If you have an online store or a business website, Allpay can be integrated directly into it.

On the Allpay website, there is an “Integrations” section listing popular e-commerce platforms with step-by-step connection guides.

If your store runs on one of the supported platforms, no developer skills are required — simply follow the instructions.

Allpay supports widely used platforms, including:

  • Shopify
  • WordPress
  • Tilda
  • and others

You can also connect Allpay to websites built on no-code and AI-based platforms, including vibe coding solutions such as Lovable and similar services. In many cases, integration can be completed without deep technical knowledge by following standard setup instructions.

If your platform is not listed among the ready integrations, a developer may be required. They can connect the system using Allpay’s technical documentation, and our technical support team is available to assist if needed.

Which option should you choose?

You decide which method works best for your business:

  • Payment links only
  • Website integration only
  • Or both at the same time

Allpay gives you the flexibility to configure online payment acceptance according to your business model.

How Allpay works

Test Mode

Test mode allows you to test payments without processing real transactions. This mode is typically used by developers during website development.

For API integrations

Test mode is activated separately for each integration in the <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> --> <span class="u-richtext-element">API Integrations</span> section.

The list of test cards is available in the API documentation.

For payment links

Test mode is also available for payment links created in the Allpay dashboard.

You can activate it in the settings of each individual payment link. Test card details will be provided on the payment page.

Test receipts

To generate test receipts in test mode, you need to enter the API keys from the test account of the corresponding service (e.g., Morning or EasyCount) in the module settings.

VAT for payments from abroad

VAT 0% may apply to sales to foreign residents.

According to the law, a foreign resident is defined as an individual who permanently resides outside of Israel or a legal entity registered abroad.

When processing a payment, there is no reliable technical way to determine whether the payer is a foreign resident. Geolocation is unreliable, as an Israeli resident may be abroad at the time of payment.

Since the business is in direct contact with the customer to whom it sells goods or services and reports to the tax authorities, the business is responsible for correctly issuing the tax invoice.

Automatic application of VAT 0%

A relatively reliable approach is to rely on the country in which the customer's card was issued (with the understanding that this method also has exceptions).

By default, Allpay includes a built-in feature that generates receipts with 0% VAT for payments made with foreign cards.

For technical reasons, the system can determine whether a payment was made with a foreign card only after the payment is actually completed. Therefore, if 18% VAT is set in the payment link settings, the system will automatically apply 0% instead of 18% after the payment is completed.

Since the tax receipt (hashbonit mas/kabala) is generated after the payment is completed, the receipt will show 0% VAT, and the service price will be equal to the final payment amount.

Example:

Payment with Israeli card:

Service — 100 NIS

VAT — 17 NIS

Total — 117 NIS

Payment with foreign card:

Service — 117 NIS

VAT — 0 NIS

Total — 117 NIS

We recommend in payment link settings set <span class="u-richtext-element">VAT mode</span> → <span class="u-richtext-element">included in price</span> and display prices with VAT already included. This will appear more natural to international customers.

Applying VAT for foreign cards

If a business does not want to rely on determining foreign residency based on the card’s country, it is necessary to activate the checkbox <span class="u-richtext-element">Charge VAT on foreign cards</span> in <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> → <span class="u-richtext-element">Company</span>. This will apply VAT to foreign cards the same way as to Israeli cards.

Selecting the quantity of goods or services

To allow customers to choose the quantity on the checkout page, go to <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> ➙ <span class="u-richtext-element">Payment links</span> and enable the <span class="u-richtext-element">Manage quantity</span> option.

After that, when creating a payment link, you can set the minimum and maximum number of units a customer can select, as well as the total quantity available for all customers when paying via this link.

The remaining quantity is shown on the payment link tile. When the stock is depleted (equals zero), the payment link is automatically disabled.

If the total quantity is not set (that is, the customer can select any quantity without limits), an infinity symbol is displayed on the payment link.

Simultaneous purchase of the last item

When multiple customers try to purchase the last remaining items at the same time, the purchase will be successful for the customer who completes the payment first.

For example, if 5 units are left in stock and customer A tries to buy all 5, while at the same time customer B buys 2 units and completes the payment first, customer A will see a message that only 3 units are available.

3-D Secure

3DS is a technology that adds a layer of security to online payments by requiring the cardholder to confirm the payment in the bank's app or by entering a one-time SMS code.

It is used to protect against fraudulent transactions, helping businesses reduce risks of chargeback requests.

Connecting and configuring

You can activate 3DS and set the minimum payment amount from which it will be applied in the <span class="u-richtext-element">Settings</span> ➙ <span class="u-richtext-element">Modules</span> ➙ <span class="u-richtext-element">3DS</span>

Commission

An additional fee is charged for each payment processed with 3DS, according to the pricing.

The fee is applied even if the payment is unsuccessful — for example, when the cardholder confirms the payment via 3DS, but the bank declines the transaction.

API currency management and supported currencies

Allpay lets you display the price in one currency that is convenient for the customer, while charging in another currency.

For example, for customers in Canada you can display the price in CAD, while charging in ILS, so the funds are paid out to the merchant bank account without additional conversion.

In this scenario, the customer will see the amount in two currencies on the payment page, for example: 100 CAD (226 ILS). The actual charge will be made in Israeli shekels (ILS).

This format helps to:

  • show the customer the price in a currency they understand;
  • clearly explain which currency will be charged;
  • reduce confusion when the customer later sees the charge in their bank statement.
Exchange rates are taken from Google Finance at the moment the payment page is opened.

Payment currency

Payment currency (parameter <span class="u-richtext-element">currency</span>) is the currency in which the actual charge is made and the funds are paid out to the merchant bank account.

The customer’s card currency does not matter — after the charge, the customer’s bank will convert the amount using its own exchange rate if the card is denominated in another currency.

By default, after registering in Allpay only ILS payment currency is available. You can enable USD and EUR according to this instruction.

Supported payment currencies

Euro — EUR

Israeli new shekel — ILS

United States dollar — USD

Валюта отображения

Display currency (parameter <span class="u-richtext-element">currency_display</span>) is the currency shown to the customer on the payment page.

Send this parameter only when the display currency is different from the payment currency.

If <span class="u-richtext-element">currency_display</span> is provided:

  • the <span class="u-richtext-element">price</span> must be sent in the display currency;
  • Allpay automatically converts the amount from <span class="u-richtext-element">currency_display</span> to <span class="u-richtext-element">currency</span> using current Google Finance exchange rate;
  • the customer is always charged in the payment currency (<span class="u-richtext-element">currency</span>).

For example, for Europe customer you can display the price in EUR and charge in ILS. Or for customer from Canada display the price in CAD and charge in USD.

Supported display currencies

Australian dollar — AUD

Azerbaijani manat — AZN

Canadian dollar — CAD

Euro — EUR

Georgian lari — GEL

Israeli new shekel — ILS

Kazakhstani tenge — KZT

Norwegian krone — NOK

Pound sterling — GBP

Russian ruble — RUB

Thai baht — THB

Ugandan shilling — UGX

United Arab Emirates dirham — AED

United States dollar — USD

Ukrainian hryvnia — UAH

If the currency you need is not in the list, please contact support.

Examples of using <span class="u-richtext-element">currency_display</span> in API requests

Send <span class="u-richtext-element">currency_display</span> only when you need to display the price in one currency but charge in another.

Example 1

{
  "items": [
    {
      "name": "Product name",
      "price": "100",
      "qty": "1",
      "vat": "0"
    }
  ],
  "currency": "USD",
  "currency_display": "CAD"
  }

Allpay will convert 100 CAD to USD and the customer will be charged in USD.

At the time this article was written: 100 CAD = 72 USD, so the charge will be 72 USD.

If the account is not approved for USD, the system will automatically convert the amount to ILS (the default currency).

Example 2

{
  "items": [
    {
      "name": "Product name",
      "price": "100",
      "qty": "1",
      "vat": "0"
    }
  ],
  "currency_display": "CAD"
  }

Because <span class="u-richtext-element">currency</span> is not provided, 100 CAD will be converted to ILS (the default currency), and the customer will be charged in ILS.

Example 3

{
  "items": [
    {
      "name": "Product name",
      "price": "100",
      "qty": "1",
      "vat": "0"
    }
  ],
  "currency": "CAD"
  }

This request is invalid because CAD cannot be used as a payment currency. However, the system will not return an error. Instead, it will convert CAD to ILS (the default currency) and charge the customer in ILS.

To test different currency combinations, use the Allpay API tester.
